Who We Are

Riding free since 1945, bound by loyalty and legacy. We are P.O.B.O.B.

Brothers of the Open Road

Since 1945, P.O.B.O.B. has stood among the original outlaw motorcycle clubs—founded in Bloomington, California, and carried forward through generations of riders. We are more than men on motorcycles; we are a brotherhood forged in loyalty, respect, and the uncompromising pursuit of freedom. Our legacy was written on the highways of America, from the Hollister Rally to the countless miles that followed. Every patch tells a story. Every ride honors those who came before us. Every member carries the weight of our history and lives by a code that binds us—stronger than steel and proven by time.

The Origin of P.O.B.O.B.

Our Origins

Founded in 1945 in Bloomington, California, P.O.B.O.B. M.C. emerged from the aftermath of World War II. Veterans and young men, unwilling to trade one uniform for another kind of confinement, turned to the open road. What began as a pursuit of freedom became a brotherhood built on loyalty, respect, and the miles that bind men together.

The Hollister Rally, 1947

In 1947, P.O.B.O.B. rode into history at the Hollister Rally—an event that would later be recognized as a turning point in motorcycle culture. While the media framed it as disorder, those who were there saw something different: independence, brotherhood, and life lived on one’s own terms. Hollister marked the moment when riding stopped being a hobby and became a statement—and P.O.B.O.B. was there at the start.

Colors and Meaning

Our colors are more than a symbol—they are our code. Red represents the blood shed by brothers who came before us. Blue stands for truth and the loyalty that binds us together. The skull with goggles—known as Ace—honors the elite pilots returning from World War II who helped form the foundation of our Club. Every stitch carries history. Every color carries meaning. Every mile deepens the brotherhood.

Growth and Legacy

From our beginnings in California through defining moments like the Hollister Rally of 1947—and onward as the Club expanded across the United States—P.O.B.O.B. has remained anchored to the same principles: loyalty, respect, freedom, and courage. We do not chase trends or seek approval. We ride the open road as guardians of a legacy forged more than eight decades ago—and carried forward one mile at a time.
